1550 nm Eye-Safe Pulsed Lasers

PLD1550 series · TO9 collimated

Eye-safe wavelength operation at 15 W and 30 W peak, collimated in a TO9 package. At 1550 nm the permitted exposure is roughly a million times higher than at 905 nm, which is why this wavelength dominates long-range and outdoor-occupied ranging, and why it is the entry point into defense EO payloads.

  • 15 W and 30 W pulsed output
  • Collimated 8° × 10° beam in a TO9 can
  • Eye-safe at power levels that would be hazardous at 905 nm
  • Suited to long-range rangefinding and fibre-optic temperature sensing

Configurations

Expand a group to see the model table. All powers are peak pulse power at 25 °C unless the table states otherwise.

1550 nm pulsed, bare TO56 can-M

Three-stripe 1550 nm emitter in a standard three-pin TO56 can, without an integrated lens. Choose this where you want to do your own collimation or combine the beam optically.
